Great start to a new series (an audio review) I’m a fan of Morgan Brice’s paranormal series and I’ve meandered through several of them. Fox Hollow is new and I was happy to leap onboard. Liam is a fox shifter who’s got problems. He avoided being killed in his old home but decided he wasn’t going to wait around for the killer to try again. He connects to an old professor who helps to secure a job as head librarian for the Fox Hollow library. On his way into town, his car breaks down. Russ is a lonely wolf shifter. He lost his husband just a few short years ago in a tragic accident and he hasn’t recovered from the pain. Yes, they hadn’t been fated mates, but he’d loved the man something fierce and is now resigned to living with his brother in their cabin, working as a mechanic, helping out with the town’s fire department, and generally being a nice guy. The fox shifter meets the wolf shifter and after the lightest of touches, both recognize they’ve met their fated mate. And yes, this is an unusual pairing, but who are they to argue? Before they can come together, though, the Huntsman comes to town and Liam’s in even more danger than before. So is the town of Fox Hollow. I liked the stakes in this book. Both Liam and Russ had plenty to gain, but also something to lose. For Russ, it’s his position as grieving widower. If he gets together with Liam, does that mean he doesn’t miss his dead husband so acutely? For Liam, he thought he was in love before and that landed him in a heap of trouble. If he gets together with Russ, can he be sure he won’t be betrayed again? I enjoyed the book and can see the next one set up nicely. I really enjoyed John Solo’s narration and I can’t wait for the next book.

I read this story with my eyes a little over 2 years ago and I loved it. What a wonderful job John Solo did performing the audiobook.\r\n\r\nI enjoyed reading the Huntsman so much; it has so many different things going on to make it a really interesting book. A fox shifter is being hunted, his fated mate wolf shifter rescues him when his car breaks down, a town that is shifter friendly and home to different kinds of shifters, and humans with psychic abilities.\r\n\r\nLiam fled for his life and left everything behind when a friend told him there was a bounty on his head and he was being tracked by a Huntsman. A professor of his from his university days offered him a job in a remote town in the Adirondacks but he was going to turn it down until his situation changed dramatically and quickly.\r\n\r\nRuss is grieving the loss of his husband two years ago. When he gets the call that someone needs a tow, he is stunned to find out that it may be his fated mate. He thought fated mates was just a myth until he experienced the pull for himself.\r\n\r\nThere is more to the Huntsman than what we know from the blurb and I loved how Morgan Brice kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next. I loved Russ\'s brother, Lowe, who stood by him when Russ came out to his pack and they threw him out. They moved to Fox Hollow ten years ago and are a vital part of the community.\r\n\r\nThe story grabbed me right from the beginning and didn\'t let up until I finished it. Even then, it just whetted my appetite for more stories set in this world. The town of Fox Hollow has an interesting history that is explored in this story and I\'m sure it will also come into play in future books. There were several secondary characters in this book that I hope we will see get primary roles in future stories. I can\'t wait to read more.

This was an easy-to-read fated mates romance with a bit of mystery and suspense topped with a whole lot of sweet We open with Liam who is running from a killer and doing a bang-up job of it - Enter Russ - his white knight in a tow truck Their animals knew right away they were fated but it took our guys a bit more time I fell in love with Liam the moment I met him. He is a little neurotic, and his imagination sometimes runs away with him... FAR away - lol Russ, however, was a little more grounded and IMO the perfect partner to balance Liam When fires start erupting and hikers begin disappearing Liam begins to believe he may not have escaped his hunter so cleanly and is responsible for bringing the destruction to the town Could he be right? Or is it just bad timing? I would have liked more background on the characters, the shifter/human dynamics, the town, its "magic". I have all kinds of questions. I had read this prior to listening to the audio version -which is dual narration and did a great job of bringing the cast to life - and enjoyed it both times. Easy to follow sweet romance with plenty of heat 1 like

Liam and Russ am so very adorable. Though they both want each other but they recognize that the other has reasons to take their relationship slow and do their best not to push, even if their animals want to. This is a really sweet love story with a touch of danger and excitement. John solo has an absolutely beautiful voice. He is very soothing to listen to and fit perfectly with the sweetness of the story.

Huntsman is a fascinating steamy, fated mates, found family story about Liam, a fox shifter, and Russ, a wolf shifter. Liam is on the run and finds himself in Fox Hollow with a new job and place to stay. He had no idea he'd find his fated mate and what that would involve. I love Liam and Russ together, they have a powerful connection. This is an intense action packed story as the town comes together to keep everyone safe from the huntsman. I really enjoyed this book and the world this author created. I definitely recommend this book and can't wait to dive into Drew's story.  Narrator John Solo does a fabulous job. He has a way of bringing stories to life. I feel like I'm right there amongst the characters.

Fox Hollow is a great little town and the home of The Fox Hollow Institute. It’s a haven for a mix of shifters, psychics and other paranormals. Liam is a fox shifter on the run from The Hunstman, a fabled shifter hunter. He’s headed to Fox Hollow for a new job. When his car breaks down, he’s met by Russ who comes to tow his car. They’re fated mates but Russ is still in mourning over his dead husband. As with most fated mates stories, there is an element of insta-love but this couple takes some time to get to know each other. Particularly Russ as he’s coming to terms with the loss of his husband and if he’s willing to risk his heart again. I love the mix of action and relationship. One of my favorite aspects of this author’s works is the crossover element. So we see hints and mentions of other series characters. It’s a great universe. John Solo does a fantastic job narrating and bringing Liam and Russ to life. I do wish there was a little more distinction between MC voices, but that’s a regular wish of mine from this narrator. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy provided by Gay Book Promotions.

This is the first book of a new series and a shifter addition to the author's shared universe. I've read several of the books in the series and I love Fox Hollow and the characters that make up the town, so revisiting with John Solo as narrator was a joy. The fated mates is dealt with maturely. The leads are engaging and have great chemistry. I love the internal interactions they have with their shifter side - Liam’s flighty, fabulous fox and Russ' slightly grumpy, growly wolf. Despite the jeopardy of Liam's situation this book is less angsty than other books in the shared universe.

I am a big fan of all Morgan Brice's series and this one is no exception. As expected, all of the tropes were well executed and checked lots of my favorite boxes - hurt/comfort, fated mates, recovery from bad relationships, etc. What I did not expect was how genuinely creepy and scary the atmosphere would be. When the danger comes to Fox Hollow, things get real very quickly. I was glued to my earbuds until the book was finished. Started it after dark and needed the lights on for sure. John Solo's voice was perfect for the atmosphere the author wanted to create. He varied his volume and tone to draw you into the story and give you chills.

Very entertaining story. It has it all, a romance, a mystery and shifter humor. John Solo did a good job bringing this book and all of it's characters to life. The story flowed very well and was easy to follow. The main characters were very likable and ended up with their HEA. I would definitely recommend this audiobook. It's well worth your time to listen.

I read this book because I love Morgan Brice. But I have to say the audios just take it up that notch. The narration adds voice and excitement I can’t do on my own. This is first book in the series but several of Morgan’s Worlds mingle and you get tastes in all the books. Liam is a Fox shifter on the run from a Huntsman. He has been offered a job and house in Fox Hollow so he sets out hoping he doesn’t bring trouble. The characters are amazing, story intriguing and romance hot.

I enjoyed this story when I read it and the narration just brings it to life. This is a great fated mates shifter story and I can see going back to this one again and again. I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

I've read a few stories from Fox Hollow so it was great to return for Huntsman. The story was good and interesting, though there were no real surprises. My genuine like for both the mcs kept me listening. Russ and Liam are both damaged people and it fate brings them together. Despite a mating bond they take their time getting to know each other. The narration was good, exactly what I've come to expect from this narrator

I love fated mates stories, and this one was so good, with a shifter fix running for his life and incidentally finding his fated mate, a widower shifter wolf. Lots of action, adrenaline and chasing, combined with a healthy dose of fluffiness, romanticism and , well, steaminess! This was my first book from Morgan Brice, and I enjoyed the author’s writing style a lot. John Solo gives one of his spot-on performances, giving the book this extra something special.
